Barwon Water
Barwon Water is Victoria’s largest regional urban water corporation. The head office redevelopment focused on proving a state-of-the-art energy efficient facility to house its entire operation.
The project required the conversion of Barwon Waters two adjoining buildings into one seamless working environment. The bulk of the works consisted of the construction and fit out of five levels of integrated office space, opening onto a full height central atrium between the existing structures.
Green Star requirements were the key driver of the electrical design which lead to the introduction of the following sustainability initiatives:
- PV system
- Fully automated lighting control system
- Energy monitoring and management system
- Backup generator power supply with sophisticated load shedding system
